A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

How are we different?! It seems all too common lately to find a place boasting "locally sourced, home made" food. We hate to also describe ourselves as such, but unfortunately that is exactly what we aim to accomplish here every day. Actually, that's how often the menu changes- every single day.

We are most proud of how much of our food we do, in fact, make. If it is possible and feasible, we will make it in-house. An example, you ask? An outstanding illustration is a simple sandwich. A Red Lion sandwich starts with our own bread- sourdough made from a 2-year-old starter developed from the natural yeasts found here in East Chisenbury. To smother on that we have successfully perfected a number of condiments - ketchup, mayonnaise, chutney, dressing, horseradish!! Tomato and lettuce? ...Grown in our green house. But what about the meats? We cure, smoke, hang & roast almost all of our own meats and charcuterie. The result is a delicious sandwich that actually is home-made.

In the mood for something a bit more substantial? Have a look at our concise, carefully written a la carte menu. Here you will find what we are most well known for- an innovative take on traditional British food (with a bit of our American, Spanish and French experiences) We have trained around the world, gathering Michelin techniques and applying them to our own more casual, hearty food. With a highly experienced chef and pastry chef, you can enjoy a meal from start to finish (all of our ice creams, chocolates and petits fours are made here, too... Even our signature birthday and wedding cakes!)

For everything we can't make here, please do visit our supplier pages to learn more about the outstanding local people and companies we have carefully sourced to provide us with the highest-quality, freshest food and drink we can get our hands on.
